New job

I got a job.

I have joined Creative Loafing full-time. My new title is Senior Writer. It's going to lots of fun and challenging. Among the new tasks that I've been, um, tasked with: lots of writing on CL's web sites. As a result, this page will be updated much less often.

I'm also working on a book.

Congrats, Andy, well-deserved. (Need any freelancers or, ahem, staff?)

Kick ass. Weren't you the last of our group of friends to get into journalism? And now you're the only one left. Smart move avoiding the Virgin Islands Curse. I blame Michael Wall. Congrats! I guess this means you're a gay socialist now. =/

Gee. I've assumed you were full-time since forever. But I'm old now and I don't read CL that much anymore. When I do I head right for what used to be about page 27. Lately I think the pol/news stuff has shifted.

Anyway. The reason I stopped by was to tell you how much I enjoyed your last column. But I read a lot and I enjoy (if that's what you can call it) many great articles a day, being obsessive and all.

But I especially liked the "bean-spillage". Ok. I'm crackin' up again.

Awesome! I've barely been surviving with just your War columns.

Will the book be titled, "If I Wrote It?"

Make sure you write the book slowly, for those of us who don't read so fast.

Does becoming a senior writer entitle you to senior citizen discounts?
