So stupid that it's funny

Atlanta blogger Duane Moody is upset with another Atlanta blogger, ATLMalcontent.

ATLMalcontent's offense? He had the temerity, the unmitigated gaul, and the chutzpah to write a post on his own web site criticizing something that Moody wrote.

The funniest part -- Moody repeatedly and disingenuously insists that he's not mad because someone disagrees with him. He says he's mad because ATLMalcontent is "sneaky" and "ball-less" for not posting the criticism as a comment on Moody's blog. Apparently ATLMalcontent never got the rule book saying "Thou shalt not disagree with Duane Moody unless you do it on his terms."

Read ATLMalcontent's post. And Duane Moody's hilarious, unhinged response.

All I have to say about this mess is shame on you ATLMalcontent for using your blog to disagree with someone's publicly stated opinions! Blogs were never intended for that.

Consider yourself on blog probation. One more violation and you're re-disinvited to the next blogger happy hour! To remove yourself from probation, you are required to write one blog post this week about each of the following topics:

1. Amy Winehouse really has, like soul, you know.
2. They're SO 2006, but you still like to listen to Snow Patrol, especially on cloudy days.
3. You were, like, totally prepared to hate Heather Mills on Dancing With The Stars, but after watching her how hard she worked, you really admired her for overcoming her disability. Eat your heart out, Paul!

The intelligent elite speak! Dude, as I said to you before, me stating that I don't appreciate cowardess doesn't mean that I am mad. I love that you think that you can tell me when I am mad and who I am mad at; especially in a case where I couldn't give a shit.

I guess that you will probably think that I am also mad at you for going the coward route, but honestly, I think you two should just enjoy your little immature quip party. It seems to be getting both of you off being so right all of the time.

No need to come to my blog and talk about it though, right?

Welcome to the Coward Parade, as Duane has anointed us in his latest post:

"It must be hard to be so right and awesome all of the time, because keeping that up means that you feel the need to pick on others to make yourself feel even more awesome and right. How cool! LOL!!!! Pathetic."

I'm reminded of that line in "Broadcast News," where the producer asks Holly Hunter"

"It must be nice to always believe you know better, to always think you're the smartest person in the room."

"No. It's awful."

But in Duane's case, it's quite enjoyable.

Duane is clearly retarded. Leave him alone.

Wasn't there a similar comment kerfuffle between one of these bloggers and erstwhile Metroblogger DFMoore about a year ago? Oy, gevalt!
